Your MBPS account includes the American Express OptBlue program, which gives merchants the opportunity to accept payments from customers using an American Express card. The rates for these transactions are determined by MBPS, similar to how it’s done with Visa, MasterCard and Discover. MBPS customers can now enjoy the cost savings associated with this program and offer an additional form of payment to increase sales.

Low Rates Only at MBPS

MBPS’s margin on American Express transactions is fixed at 0.40% and $0.10/transaction. The different American Express rates that you’ll pay – just find your business category, and see the rate for each transaction size! These are the Final rates and include all American Express costs, network fees, and MBPS margins.

Additional fees

Card-Not-Present Surcharge: American Express will add 0.30% to all "Card-Not-Present" transactions. International Surcharge: American Express will add 0.40% to all international sales.
